Advantages: Suitable for sensitive skin, lasts a long time, great at moisturising, not greasy
Disadvantages: Expensive.
The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Night Cream is £9.75 for 50ml. Sometimes, as it was when I got my first tub, it is also available in a small 15 ml tub, for free with other products when you spend over a certain amount in store. It is a cream suitable for sensitive skin, for use on the face and neck at night time, and claims to leave it smooth and supple as well as calm and protect skin.
The tub is light green in colour, with a clear lid. The text on the labels is green, while the labels are a green/white colour. Even though this packaging is quite plain, it is still eye-catching and attractive.
The product is simple to use: after cleansing, apply to face and neck. It feels very nice on the skin and leaves it feeling "smooth and supple" as it states, also very soft and hydrated but without feeling greasy. It doesn't clog pores so it doesn't cause outbreaks of spots. The product doesn't really smell of anything. As for "protecting" the skin, it's not clear what the product is meant to protect it from, so I can't comment on that aspect!
Even though the pot is only 50ml, it lasts a long time as the consistency of the cream is quite thick, so you don't have to use much of the product each application.
The product contains natural ingredients: Community Trade aloe vera gel (to moisturise), sesame oil (also to moisturise, plus to strengthen the skin's natural defences) and shea butter (for moisturisation, plus to protect skin). This means not only is it great for your skin, it's also good for workers as it contains a Community Trade product. It has not been tested on animals.
To conclude, I would recommend this product. Even though it is expensive, it lasts a very long time and supports good causes, whilst moisturising your skin very well, so it is worth the money.
Summary: Pricey, but good!
