Advantages: Great texture and hydrates my skin.

Disadvantages: No longer widely available.

I used the Body Shop, Carrot Daily Hydrating Moisturiser last summer whilst staying with my parents in Italy.

- Packaging -

This was in a 50ml, cylindrical tub with a screw top lid.

- What it promises -

~ Rich non-greasy moisturiser.
~ Contains carrot oil and sweet almond oil to smooth and soften your skin.
~ Suitable for normal / dry skin.

- Smell -

Given that this proclaims to contain almond oil, I was hoping for at least a hint of the scent of almonds but unfortunately this was not the case.

On a more postive note, it doesn't have a strong aroma of carrots. I'm not averse to the taste of carrots but wouldn't really want to be smelling of one!

The smell is quite non-specific, it smells of a regular moisturiser - fresh and clean.

- Appearance -

The moisturiser is a very light peach colour with a lovely rich, creamy texture.

- Using It -

At the time, the normal / dry skin condition suited my skin, needing a little extra nourishment due to the heat and sun of Tuscany for a couple of weeks.

It has a lovely smooth, creamy feel to it when applied and absorbed easily in to my skin without making it feel greasy or clogged up!

It's suggested that it is used twice a day after cleansing on your face and neck.

- Overall -

A great moisturiser for my normal / dry skin at the time. It gave my face the necessary hydration that it required at the time although I only acquired this due to the fact that it wasn't sufficient for my Mum's dry skin.

Summary: A great facial moisturiser for the needs of my skin.
