... and to me it doesn't feel any thicker or denser than water. It has a slight subtle scent to it which is quite nondescript really and doesn't really smell of anything in particular. Applying a bit of this to a cotton pad and sweeping it across my face it feels cooling and soothing instantly. As the consistency is just like water it does feel very wet on your face for the first few seconds after applying, but it soon sinks in and disappears to nothing. It does a really good job of removing dirt and grime as well a...more

Premium Review The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner: The Sea Weed on my face! (1927 words)

Before buying this product I have tried lots of different toners from different brands ranges and price ranges. I had two favourites from my experiences one being Biore toner and another Body Shop one from the Vitamin E range they do. As The Body Shop had given me a favourite before I thought I would turn back to it after not being completely amazed by a Lush version. I sent my other half off to work one morning with my Body Shop gift card which had five pounds on it and a nice shiny gold coin so that he could pop into the local Body Shop store which is just round the corner from where he works. I had decided to try the toner from this range of ...  Read the complete review

Whilst at a Body Shop party I was shown the seaweed range of the Body Shop's skin care section. I tried out this toner on my hand and noticed the lovely smell.. so I bought it. I was also interested in the seaweed range because it's designed for combination skin. Even though my skin is more oily, sometimes I do get dry flaky patches around my nose, so I thought products for combination skin would cure this. *Packaging* The Body Shop's Seaweed Clarifying Toner comes in a see-through 200ml bottle with a flip-top lid. The bottle is partly covered with a blue sticker with all the info we need to know such as what the product does, who it's suitable for, ...  Read the complete review

Price: £3 for 60ml £6.35 for 200ml From: The Body Shop For: Refreshing and purifying combination skins The packaging is a nice clean looking bottle which is clear so you can see at a glance how much you have left. It has the usual high quality feel that most Body Shop products have. It has a flip lid which snaps shut easily and tightly, making it much more convenient than a screw top. It's a watery liquid as you would expect from a toner, and to me it doesn't feel any thicker or denser than water. Premium Review Wonderful Weed (417 words)

I am 52 and just approaching the end of the menopause ~ hopefully!! Whilst my hormones have been raging my skin has suffered and has not been helped by a change of daily beauty routine. I used to use Superdrug vitamin E range until they introduced a cocunut smell ~ which I personnally can't stomach in beauty products. I have a combination sensitive skin so opted for Simple cleanser and toner believing them to be the best, from the point of view of not irritating. My skin seemed to be getting worse ~ open pores, lots of blackheads, very dry and tight in places and more spots than I had as a teenager. I though it was all part of the raging hormones and overlooked the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner (192 words)

I've got classic combination oil/dry skin with the occasional (yeah, right!) blemish, so I'm always on the look-out for something that says it can do the trick and meet all my skins needs. Especially something which doesn't make a big bad environmental impact and ticks all the fairtrade boxes. So I often turn to The Body Shop and have yet to be disappointed. This toner comes in a clear bottle and has a slightly blue-ish tinge (must be all the seaweed, eh?!) The flip-top lid is very easy to use and prevents any annoying dribbles. I've found that you also don't need to use very much on each application - and the small hole allows you to make the product ...  Read the complete review
