The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

As I said in a previous review a friend of mine at Christmas thought she would buy me some moisturiser, this was to do with a joke we have about me not using moisturiser all the time. Anyway I wont bore you with all that but she decided to get a pot of moisturiser from The Body Shop for me. When she went along to our local store and looked for one, she wasn't sure which to go for. I first tried this product after recommendation from a friend and have raved about it ever since! I wont buy any other moisturiser now! Seaweed matifying day cream is part of the Body Shop seaweed range which includes a facial wash, cleanser, toner, night cream, clay mask and pore perfector. The range is aimed at those with combination to oily skin who show a shiny T zone with occassional blemishes and visible pores. I bought the Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream, along with some more items in the range, to cleanse tone and moisturise sensitive skin with a slightly oily T-zone. I wasn't sure what to expect from this product and I was nicely surprised. APPLICATION ----------------- The cream has a weightless consistency, liquid enough to absorb quickly but thick enough to qualify as a cream and not a lotion. It is cooling on application, not sticky or greasy, and doesn't clog even large pores. The Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream is one of the best things I have ever bought to use on my face. I have very sensitive skin and anything I apply on my face turns into a reaction. Just to put things into perspective, I can never wear any lipstick as my lips swell. On recommendation from the shop assistant at Body Shop, I thought I will try this as she said that it helps to control blemishes in the skin. The main thing the cream does is reduced the oiliness and the shine on the skin making the skin feel soft and supple. Apart from that, it helps reduces blemishes and improves texture of the skin. I have been using the moisturiser for several years now and find that it the best thing since sliced bread! My skin has gone from being spotty and greasy to smooth and with very limited outbreaks of spots. The best way to buy is to buy a savings card for a fiver and buy in bulk when the company has their 20% promotions throughout the year. It has a none greasy consistency..and goes on smoothly without leaving your skin feeling clogged. It is good for all ages that suffer from combination skin. The tub lasts me about two months as you only need a pea sized lump on each application.
