Advantages: Does what it says on the tin. A little goes a long way.

Disadvantages: Only if you're obsessed with sterility of your beauty products. No SPF

I bought the Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream, along with some more items in the range, to cleanse tone and moisturise sensitive skin with a slightly oily T-zone. I wasn't sure what to expect from this product and I was nicely surprised.

APPLICATION
-----------------
The cream has a weightless consistency, liquid enough to absorb quickly but thick enough to qualify as a cream and not a lotion. It is cooling on application, not sticky or greasy, and doesn't clog even large pores. The scent is mild - some of the seaweed range has a stronger scent, and while not unpleasant, I admit that I hesitate to put something with such a strong scent on my sensitive skin - the lightness of the scent was reassuring.

EFFECTS
-----------
Long term, the effects of this face cream are noticeable. My skin was smooth all over, and (unexpected) the occasional redness I suffer in my cheeks was less frequent. I think this was the coolness of the cream. It was slightly mattifying beyond the oil reduction of the face wash.

THE BAD
-----------
My only problem with this product is not with the cream, it is with the packaging. When it comes to my face I am strict about sterility so I would prefer a squeeze tube or pump-anything which doesn't require fingers in a tub.

There is no SPF in this moisturiser-Body Shop does another seaweed day cream with SPF. I have to admit I much prefer this to the SPF version.

Summary: A good miosturiser for sensitive skin with an oily T-zone, mattifys ans smoothes but no SPF.
