Advantages: Moisturises and contols shine!

Disadvantages: More pricey than other brands

I first tried this product after recommendation from a friend and have raved about it ever since! I wont buy any other moisturiser now!

Seaweed matifying day cream is part of the Body Shop seaweed range which includes a facial wash, cleanser, toner, night cream, clay mask and pore perfector. The range is aimed at those with combination to oily skin who show a shiny T zone with occassional blemishes and visible pores. The 50 ml tub is currently priced £8.80 in the shop but I think you may be able to get it cheaper on e-bay
The range is easily recognisable being white in background colour with an aqua coloured label

The tub is circular with an easy twist top opening. There is a plastic cover on top of the cream which I presume is to stop any of it escaping. I have found this useful when you first start the tub but after its gone down slightly I tend to discard it.

There is no strong smell to the cream which was one thing I was worried about initially, but while I wouldnt say it was completely odourless it isnt in any way overpowering.
It is difficult to describe the cream as its unlike any moisturiser Ive tried previously. The consistency is quite thick but in no way greasy or heavy on the skin. It is absorbed very easily by the skin so you dont feel as though youre rubbing it in for ages!
It is easy to apply and straight away you can feel the difference on the skin. It feels smooth and cool and very refreshing.

I am so impressed witht his moisturiser. It does exactly what it says on the tin! I suffered from an oily t zone and yet dry skin elsewhere and since using this cream these problems have been greatly improved. I no longer have those shiny patches on my nose and forehead and my skin feels smooth throughout the whole day.

Obviously we are all different, one of my friends tried the cream and she wondered what Id been raving about as it didnt suit her skin type but at least 3 other friends have tried it successfully. I can only speak from personal experience and a few months back I tried another quite expensive oil control moisturiser as I had been given it by a friend to try and it was nowhere near as good as this product

In conclusion I think this product is excellent not only for moisturising the skin but also for helping to control shiny/oily areas. The only disadvantage is it is rather pricey compared to other products but you only need to apply a small amount so 1 50ml tub does tend to last a good few months meaning on average it works out about £1.50/2 a month which in hindsight is good value

Summary: So good you'll be tempted to eat it!
