Advantages: covers spots
Disadvantages: orange
I have suffered with problem skin since my early teens. Even though my skin is a lot better now, I do still get the odd spot. You can usually guarantee that if I am planning a night out or going somewhere special a big red spot will rear its ugly head in the days running up to it.
I have used the body shop tea tree covered stick for a while now and find it to be very useful on big ugly spots.
This cover stick looks very much like a lip stick. It has a light green lid which pulls off the top and by twisting the bottom of the stick the cover stick will come up.
It is a light orangey brown colour. It is only available in one colour so if you have darker or lighter skin than the product it will probably show a little.
To use the cover stick is very easy. After cleansing, toning and moisturising your skin then dab a little bit of the stick onto the spot. I have found that you do only need to use a little of this product at a time other wise you will be left with an orange patch. You then blend the product into your skin. You can then apply makeup over it or leave your face bare.
I do find that this cover stick can sometimes leave my face a little oily so I try to use as little as possible and only when I really need to. I always make sure I remove all of the product with cleanser and moisturise well after using this cover stick. I have quite sensitive skin and I have never had any reaction to this product. It does not sting when I have applied it and I have never got a rash from it either, so I would say that it is fairly safe for other people with sensitive skin too but always try it on a little bit of skin first just in case.
The cover stick contains natural tea tree oil which is an antiseptic that helps to clear spots. This little stick costs around £4 from the body shop, which is a little expensive, but I would say that it is worth the money. The stick will usually last quite a long time but this will depend on how much you use and how often. It is a useful thing to have and it is effective at hiding the spots.

- 21/09/04 I like this one although because of the colour I can only use it when I'm going to be wearing foundation over the top. Shame they don't do a wider range of shades really.
