Advantages: Smoothes my skin, no trace of dry skin, hides any rough areas.

Disadvantages: The price I guess.

Occasionally I suffer with patches of dry skin on my face, we all know how annoying that is and how difficult it can be to get rid of as well as how awful it can look, don't we?!

I have found something that I find really helps and thought that I should share my discovery so that others can use this little miracle in a bottle too.

When I get dry skin I try and buff if off with exfoliator and moisturise to try and rehydrate the skin but it always stays looking unsightly, especially when I put on foundation which just makes it even more visible. Not any more!

This is a very small pump action bottle, it feels like it is actually made of glass rather than plastic but I am not 100% sure. It is bright orange with plenty of information on the sticker surrounding it.

This is called Vitamin C Skin Boost, not you understand why the bottle is orange don't you.

The bottle says that it is for smoothing and radiance lift, that doesn't really explain it though does it. As this wasn't enough information for my liking I looked it up on the Body Shops website. Basically this is a pre-moisturiser. You put it onto cleansed skin then after that you seal in it's moisturisation but applying a moisturiser. It smoothes out the skin and gives your skin a... boost!

As this is for all skin types it is a handy product to have for little dry skin emergencies but at £12 for a small 30ml bottle it certainly isn't cheap! You do only need a small amount and unless you really badly suffer from dry skin then you wont need to use it too often.

Just one pump is more than enough to do my face and neck with a thin layer of this gel, yes I said gel not cream but I will get to that shortly.

This gives instant results, straight away any flakiness is gone, you cannot feel any dry skin nor see any. This smoothes skin so well it almost feels like you must have coated your skin in something rather than used something that is sinking into it.

To touch my skin feels amazing! Babies bottoms don't even come close!

This is a gel not a cream and it feels very different to anything I have ever used before, unlike a thick cream this is easy to apply evenly and unlike a thin lotion it gives you more control.

This is a clear gel, which looks a little like shower gel when first pumped onto my fingers.

What comes to mind when you think of vitamin C? Oranges right? Well this even smells like them! Only slightly and not the sweet scent but a subtle and not a lasting whiff of them is certainly present.

This does take a little while to sink in, I know this is a drawback but not enough for me to say it is a problem, I just wait two or three minutes before applying moisturiser. If you are in a hurry just do something while you are waiting.

To me I don't really feel like moisturiser is absolutely necessary after this as it makes my skin feel so great but I do to get as much benefit from it as possible. I certainly don't need as much moisturiser after using this as I do without it, I guess my skin can only soak up so much of anything.

It is meant to give you more radiant skin too, but can't say that I really notice any difference in that but I don't use it for that anyway.

After using this and moisturiser my skin stays looking great all day and my skin looks perfect under my foundation too, which is why I hated the dry skin so much. I do find when I wash my face that the dry skin is still there, hidden from the world but it is certainly improving.

I don't use any other products from the range and tend to use the Seaweed moisturiser after this product. I have the retexturings mask which I really like too, I will look into other products from the range at some point as I think they are very good quality products and from what I have tried already the results are very good.

Do I recommend this? You bet I do, it is a miracle in a bottle! I know it is a bit pricey but it really does have excellent results and anyone with dry skin will really notice the difference!

I can't take stars off for any of its slightly bad points (price and the fact it takes a couple of minutes to sink in) it is as close to perfect as it gets!

I think I could do with some of this, I'm prone to dry skin on my face- the worst thing is when your foundation clings to the dry bits - yuk!
