***About Sanctuary Spa Convent Garden . . .***

Surprisingly, the spa was established in the late seventies, more than thirty years ago. The Sanctuary is located in the center of London's Convent Garden and the main purpose for establishing is to offer relaxing
treatments, soothing massages and skin revitalizing masks and treatments. It was actually founded especially for the for the female dancers who performed in London's theatres and clubs! However, it's not like that anymore as it is open for all women of all ages and needs for pampering, look after their skin and bodies and have relaxing and indulging sessions.

Recently they introduced their OWN Sanctuary brand sponsored and available only by Boots who are the only store who has the right to sell their products. You can surely find their products online from their own website.

I saw their products on the shelves when I was visiting Boots but to be honest with you I never bought any of their products, although I'm not sure why!

***Bidadari Shimmering Body Soufflé***

It's one of Sanctuary Spa Convent Garden's newest range. A friend of mine was going to England so I had placed my order on Boots.com website and asked him to collect it for me. Bidadari Shimmering Body Soufflé was among the bundle.

***The name . . .***

The name Bidadari or (Angel Island) comes from a very small island in Bali (Indonesia) only six hectares in length but it is a beautiful island. I'm not sure why they choose this island's name for their product but I guess it's because of an ancient Indonesian Myth mentioning the Bidadari women and describing them as stunning women with attractive golden skin.

Those women get that glowing golden skin because of their Indonesian cleansing traditional ways. They called them the Bidadari women or the angel women who appear in mythological stories so I think the name of the product came because of the golden streaks in the pot and surely the results of the product (the golden skin).

***The packing . . .***

Unexpectedly, the container was very different from any other packages before! The mixture was 'preserved' in a jam jar! Yes . . . it looked exactly like the jar that we used to have the compote stored in!
It is generously sized and moulded out of hard plastic. The clear pot was embracing the concoction and covered with the airtight lid surrounded by a difficult-to-open metal lock. Between the opening lid and the jar body set a round piece of rubber to ensure a secure tightness for the pot. On the top of the lid, a small-circled label with the Sanctuary logo (the golden fish that takes S shape) and the name of the product (Bidadari Shimmering Body Soufflé) while on the front there is a semi-circular label mentioning the same as above. On the bottom of pot, you can see a sticker with a long list of ingredients and the selling code, peeling the sticker to find another sticker with some useful info, the usual warnings, their UK and USA Address, customer services phone numbers and their official website.

***The colour . . .***

The colour is quite interesting . . . It like pale gold, or to be precise, it was like sand on the beach! It was most probably because of the usage of the Turmeric powder that gave it the "goldilicious" look! When I examined this golden-sandy colour of the soufflé, I found that there were golden sparkles and shimmery streaks of bullion merged with the combination to produce the most amazing TANNED shade affect! I liked it and I was very pleased with it.

***The texture . . .***

The jar was pretty heavy and dense so I presumed the cream would be thick, clumpy and lumpy, but I was pleasantly surprised to ascertain that the blend was as light as a good soufflé!

Feathery light, fluffy and very creamy, those are the words that can best describe this! When I dipped my fingers into the mixture, it bounced back lightly! I shook the pot and it was firm but not blocky . . . It's a lot like freshly whipped cream. I have tried many varieties of moisturiser and creams, but I have to admit that I never ever tried or experienced a cream that is as light as this one . . . The least of what I can say about the texture of this is that I was taken aback by it!
Until now, everything seemed perfectly right . . .

***The smell . . .***

The smell is the most imperative point for me! If the cream smells awful, I would never take into account using it even if it was a piece of paradise!
Anyway . . . it was not the case with Bidadari Shimmering Body Soufflé on the contrary; it was again . . . a perfecto!

I took a deep breath into the jar to smell a pleasantly delicate scent. The delicious smell was unquestionably flowery! The oriental jasmine perfume was definitely there; jasmine is for not only scenting the cream, it's also used to relax and sooth the skin. The smell of it awakens your senses and stimulates your wits! The fresh, zesty smell of nature and flower gardens made me excited! In addition, the gorgeous smell of exotic and muscle relaxing Indonesian flower "Ylang Ylang" was there to give it the oriental and luxurious feel.

***Application on the skin . . . ***

I dipped my fingers into the fluffy, creamy mixture to get a suitable amount to try it on my body, I thought I would try it on my legs first as they are the first things to come into sight! To have the best results I applied the soufflé straight after a shower.

***The crucial moment . . . The results . . . too good to be eaten?***

This extravagant soufflé also contains a very unusual ingredient, which is Yoghurt powder; they believe that it can be very useful for soothing, calming and a good and natural element for promoting skin youthfulness.

I loved the result; well after analysing the company's history, ingredients and the smell, colour and texture of this product I was sure that I was going to enjoy it.

Apply this luscious cream in circular and light gentle movement, paying extra attention to dry areas. Instantly . . . when applied, my skin captivated the cream! I was surprised! My skin was wrapped in the most gorgeous smell I ever experienced. Applying it to my whole body was a pleasure to do . . . no stickiness, oily skin or grease anywhere. My skin was very smooth and well moisturised and what was even better I had the promised beautiful golden skin! Yes, the subtle golden streaks were spread evenly all over the skin giving it the touch of luxury. It was not only the glitter; it was the slight hint of tan! I am naturally tanned which was enhanced with the cream . . . My skin was pampered with sweet moisture and crowned with gold and glitter; what more I can ask for?

***A tip for you for a great moisture and sparkly-tanned skin . . .***

For best results put on the cream straight after a hot bath or shower, your skin pores will be open and ready, ok . . . here is the trick:
Add a thin layer first on your body, wait for 10-15 minutes until it's completely penetrated into your skin then add another generous layer and DON'T RUB! Leave it to dry naturally and see your how smooth, glowing and beautiful your skin is!

I used it for my cousin's wedding and believe me it left an attractive and noticeable shine on my skin which several of the guests have noticed and started to look and ask even the bride (honest)!

The sensational fragrance was definitely breathtaking when put on and lasts for hours and hours without weakening; improving over time.

**Good points**

* Look different and eye catching with the very unusual packing.

* Extraordinary colour with glittery bits

* Moisturise the skin perfectly

* Gorgeous and long lasting smell with natural perfumed flowers and plants like jasmine and Ylang Ylang.

* It has a natural moisturising agent as yoghurt leaves the skin supple and smooth.

* It has a natural tanning agent such as the turmeric powder that can give the skin a natural glow and can easily washed out.

* It comes in generous size 450 ml

* Very economical a little can last for long.

* Not greasy or oily that can be absorbed easily in the skin

* Recycled

* Not tested on animals.

**Bad points (it's so perfect that I can hardly find any bad sides!)**

* Although the pot does look different and extraordinary but it is not practical as it is very hard to open especially with wet or slippery hands!

* A bit pricey it's just under £10, which can be on the expensive side.

* It has yoghurt so I'm not sure if the milky product can irritate some people's skin so I better mention that so you can be cautious

* It has turmeric powder which is a natural dye that yellowish-golden colour so be careful it might stain your clothes so better apply it and leave it to dry.

I loved that product so I can highly recommend for you to use and enjoy! Forget about the price but you definitely paying the right price for it! You won't regret it I promise you!
