Advantages: Gentle, but superbly effective

Disadvantages: None to think of - perfect product!

My skin rotates between dry, greasy, dry and greasy and normal in the course of every month, but last month it seemed EXTREMELY dry, and I had the effect of my skin peeling off in the worst patches.

So, off I went to Boots to find a remedy. I moisturise often, so I decided the best course of action would be to find a really good exfoliator to slough off the peeling skin, and hopefully reveal glowing, non dry skin underneath. What attracted me to this one in particular was the warming element - I've always loved warming face masks.

Anyway, I got home and tried it out. It smells beautiful - bizarrely it reminds me of decorating, paint or glue... but it's nothing like those smells, just really lovely, warm, inviting fragrance. The warming effect is immediate, and intensifies as you massage it into your face. It's a real pleasure to use, very gentle feeling - I hate it when an exfoliator feels too rough, or leaves you all pink, sensitive and sore. It washed off easily, and my skin immediately felt smoother. I then popped on some moisturiser, and the next morning my skin felt beautiful. No more dry patches or flaky skin, just soft and smooth.

I have been using it about twice a week for the last 5 weeks or so, and can say that it has definitely had a positive effect on my skin. It's much smoother (I've especially noticed that make up goes on easier), and feels less dry without all that flaky skin hanging on! It's not so good on my greasy days, especially if I'm spotty, because it can inflame them further, but I still use it trying to be careful to avoid any broken skin.

I still have my original tube, and it's about a third full, so I think one tube will probably last about 2 months, which to me justifies the price of just under £10.

Summary: Lovely product, very effective.
