Good for shaving if you have no facial hair, otherwise not great (Wilkinson FX Performer)

Advantages: Cheap, looks nice

This is a really nice looking razor and its designed to look nice, but it is practical for certain purposes only, it has a number of blades and as a really positive point it has a protector which makes it almost impossible for you to cut yourself, thats great but I think thats an over-rated issue in razors as you should be able to shave properly knowing how to do so without cutting yourself.

The one and only thing of importance to me in a razor is how well it shaves, I got this razor on a special offer in Superdrug for £3.99 so tried this as a test, I am glad I tried it but I won't be going back to buy more unfortunately for the simple reason that it appears to be designed to look nice and shave people with stubble free faces, I have stubble, I have really dark hair and stubble is a constant, if I shave every day the razor is fine and rolls over the face smoothly and confidently. Anything more than two days stubble and it becomes an incredible chore, the numerous blades become clogged with hair however much I clear them, it can't take stubble and therefore I need to use another razor to clear heavy stubble and then go over my face when clear with this razor.

For its price I can't complain, but I don't think I would recommend this razor, as my regular Gillette Mach 3 razors can work through mid to thick stubble without this amount of trouble, it is cheap and unfortunately with good reason.
