I love Opium but buy the concentrate Parfume (YSL Opium)

Advantages: smells heavenly and the parfume lasts all day and night

Disadvantages: eau de toilette doesn't seem to last too long on skin

Been wearing Opium for 20 years since a friend bought it for me as a present and my husband won't let me wear anything else now, and i really like it too! I find men (and women) often tell me i smell nice and ask me what perfume i am wearing. This doesn't happen when i wear others - i used to keep Opium as my best perfume for going out, but after many years of trying others, i have now decided just to wear opium all the time - have never found another perfume that comes close. However i find that the concentrate Parfume is MUCH better value than the Eau de Toilette, even though it is obviously more expensive, it is better value for money as it lasts all day and through the night too.
I don't know what the manufacturer would say but i really believe that the eau de toilette is much more watered down than it used to be, i have found that used to last all day but i find that after a couple of hours i can't smell it on myself which is not good for an expensive perfume like Opium. Price wise i buy mine in duty free in airports as i think it is cheaper than the high street. One exemption to that is i found the eau de toilette in a perfume discount store on the high street and it came in 3 small bottles which were great for travelling or keeping in your handbag. Also love the bottles!

Summary: my favourite perfume by far
