Advantages: Illuminates the skin, hides a multitude of sins.

Disadvantages: Expensive, but worth it.

Ooooh, how much do I love this product?! It would be one of my Desert Island Discs if it were a piece of music! Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat is the only piece of makeup which I CANNOT do without. I get very cross if it runs out and I can't get into town to buy another. I will tell you why.

I first came across this product while watching a programme about Geri Halliwell(?!) and her life after the Spice Girls (can't have been anything else better on!) and she was putting on her concealer, clicking away at a little shiny pen and brushing the product on under her eyes. It was the gimmicky clicky pen I liked first of all so I had a look in magazines to see if I could find the product and see what it was all about. Sure enough, there it was, Touche Eclat, designed with light-reflecting particles to give a bright and radiant look to your skin. I had to have it.

In my local department store, Touche Eclat cost £21, expensive but it is a designer brand. The product comes in a long thin carboard box, shiny and golden and inside is the pen, again shiny and golden with a black button at one end and the cap at the other which pulls off to reveal a nylon brush to brush on the concealer. Quite a few clicks of the button are needed at first to get the product to come through the brush, but after that, only one or two clicks are needed to dispense the product at a time.

So, I purchased the product for £21 and it was worth the money. I bought shade number 1 (there are up to 5 shades, I think, but most stockists only have 1 or 2, 1 being the palest) and wasn't disappointed with it. It hides a multitude of sins, dark under-eye circles, red blemished, thread veins, spots, whatever you want to conceal, it will conceal it! I tend to use it wherever shadows or dark areas may be found on the face, so under the eyes, the sides of the bridge of the nose, round the area where the nostrils meet your face and down the lines which go from your nostrils to the corners of your mouth when you smile so that your face has an illuminated glow!

As I use mine daily, the Touch Eclat lasts for a few months and I have since found that Bodycare sells them for £17.99! Cheaper than duty free, whoopee!

This product is a staple part of my make-up diet and, although it's pricey, I haven't found another concealer which works quite as well.

Not sure why it's in the moisturiser category though, it's definitely a skin-brightening concealer!

Summary: Designer concealer which works a treat.
