I bought my Touche Eclat from Superdrug - wierdly it was stuck on the counter as an impulse purchase, and as it cost £17.50, which is a fairly good saving on the RRP, I decided to pick one up.

Over the years, of course, I have seen this highlighter repeatedly winning best product awards, and it seems to come highly recommended by anyone that has used it. Often when I have such high expectations, I am sorely disappointed, so I am very pleased to report that this does live up to the hype!

I have to be honest and say that I don't really have any context of what a "highlighter" is - its certainly not something I have ever felt I have needed in my kit. Basically this is used more as a concealer - I use it over foundation on my under-eye area and it evens them out beautifully. The formulation is very light (I have shade 01), which suits my skin perfectly, and its very smooth and easy to apply, although I like to finish with my fingertips as I find the applicator brush makes for a slightly streaky effect.

Once in place and set with a sweep of powder, the make up will stay in place for a full day, without "seperating" like other concealers can. My boyfriend remarked that I looked like I'd have a fantastic night's sleep, which is his polite way of saying I looked less grey and haggard - and I have continued to use it every day as it makes me feel young and beautiful!!

The packaging is stunning - a chunky gold pen which will definitely NOT embarrass you if it falls out of your bag - and so far mine has lasted me six months without any need to re-stock - which makes £17.50 a good price for so many days of looking gorgeous!
