Advantages: LASTS AGES, GREAT FOR TIRED MUMS, AMAZING RESULTS
Disadvantages: PRICE
Just like any other new mum out there I have been blessed with dark circles under my eyes and a pasty complexion. That's until I was recently introduced to my new best friend, Touche Eclat by Yves St Laurent. Thanks to this innovative product I no longer look washed out or have the appearance of a walking zombie, but fresh faced and healthy. Since the birth of my son 6 months ago, I have tried countless other concealers and just about had to admit defeat, until I read about Touche Eclat in my weekly magazine. So whilst in Boots buying the normal hum-drum nappies and baby products I thought it was high-time I treated myself. My eyes just about popped out of my head when the sales consultant at the make-up counter politely said "that's £21.99, please". I've never spent this much on one single make-up product in my life, but I was desperate, so grudgingly handed over my money. As the consultant prised my fingers open to receive my payment, she said "you'll be really pleased with the results". When I got home I pulled open the packaging which was very attractive and stylish - it should be at that price and was quite pleased with what I found. Touche Eclat is a gold pen containing 2.5ml of product. Not a lot you might think, but don't be fooled. I have been using this everyday for the past 3 months and there is still no sign of it finishing yet! It says on the leaflet that if used everyday it can last up to 6 months. On the side of the pen is the recognisable YSL logo along with the name of the product. To use Touche Eclat there is a button at one end which, on first use needs to be pressed at least 20 times to 'prime' the product. At the other end there is a brush applicator with a lid on. Once you press the button the correct amount of cream is dispensed. Although, this is not a concealer as such, it doesn't cover up any skin imperfections, it just reflects th
e light away from them. It is still much better than any other product I have used. It can be used on any area on your face, but it's particularly good around the eyes as all dark circles disappear. Great for those sleepless nights. There is no need for a colour match like with other products. There are basically two shades light for white skin and dark for black skin - simple as that. No need to worry about orange marks when applying the cream, the colour blends in really well and it doesn't even look like you are wearing make-up. If like me, you don't always have time to put make-up on and can get away with the natural look, then this product is great as there is no need for additional make-up. It can be worn on its own or with make-up. There is no right or wrong way to use this product. You basically use as much as you want. On a good day I press the button twice, but if I've had a sleepless night and I have bags the size of dinner plates, then 4 presses it is. Touche Eclat is so simple to use, pressing the button dispenses the cream onto the brush and hey presto you're ready to go. Just apply to the parts on the face where it's needed and gently blend in with your fingers. You are immediately transformed into a human being again. I have seen Touche Eclat in many other department stores for around the same price. I recently looked on the internet and it is available from www.directcosmetics.co.uk for £17.99, but p&p at £3.95 has to be added. Bear in mind that there are so many other products on this website that cost less than on the High Street and even if you order more than one item you only pay one price, so it is worth going to the site to have a look. Just to recap, I did say at £21.99 it is rather expensive for a beauty product, but the results are really pleasing. I have a constant radiant glow and flawless skin and people have commented on how well I look despite having a new baby. If it works
for me.....
