      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Good for Peppa Pig obsessed children!

My daughter loves Peppa Pig and it is still her favourite despite dicovering other toys and programmes on tv. She was lucky enough to be given this Peppa Pig sleeping bag for her second birthday.

      ---About Peppa Pig
Peppa Pig is a character from the TV shows of the same name. The show follows her life with her little brother George, her Mummy and Daddy, and all of her friends. The character is suitable for young children up to age 5-6 years and my daughter who is 3 loves it. Peppa gets up to all kinds of mischief like my daughter, but she generally learns something by the end of the episode.

      ---About the product:
The Peppa Pig sleeping bag comes in a pink stuff sack which has an elastic hole in the top to put the sleeping bag through. The stuff bag does not seal in any way except by the elastic closing up slightly but the bag generally stays inside okay. The bag also has a small black handle on the side so it can be carried. The sleeping bag itself is 137cm x 68cm (so says the website), and is predominately pink. The front of the sleeping bag has a picture of Peppa with her teddy tucked up in bed. At the top of the bag there are the words 'Time for bed...' and at the bottom there is a picture of an alarm clock and the word 'Oink'. The bag has a zip which goes halfway down one of the sides and the whole thing is polyester filled.

      ---Our experiences:
My daughter was really excited to get this sleeping bag and was pulling it out of the bag as soon as she saw it. It was very easy for her to get it out of the stuff bag as she didn't have to open any fastenings. She was trying to get into it straight away and trying to do it up but she struggles to do the zip up and still needs help with that now. The sleeping bag material is very slippy and my daughter inevitably slips out of this during the night if she uses it so we always have to make sure we put a blanket over her as well (although that quite often slips off as well!). The material is quite thin and would not be able to be used in much other than warm weather if it was being used outside. She has had it for a year now and has used it quite a bit. She does keep losing her toys at the bottom of it though which upsets her in the middle of the night!

      ---And finally:
My daughter has really enjoyed using this sleeping bag and now at 3 still uses it a lot. We have taken it on holiday with us in the caravan and she enjoys knowing it is her special bedding but she still has to have an extra blanket to go over her if it gets cold. I don't think it would be too effective as the only form of bedding, but as a novelty item or in the home it has been great for her. She is often to be found dragging the sleeping bag around with her and making little beds in dens or in her bedroom. On Amazon the sleeping bag costs around £20 which is way too expensive for this. I'm sure it can be bought for less but it would need to be around half that for me to feel it was worth it. To be fair, it is well made though and is great for any Peppa Pig obsessed little girl, I just don't think I would have bought it for the price.
