Advantages: Cheap and works great
Why I wanted this....
I wanted this product because I love brisket that has been slow cooked especially on my Sunday dinners! I had found other slow cookers but they were quite expensive and a friend recommended the Asda one to me.
It comes in a big box with a picture of the slow cooker on the front. When you take it out the box you have different compartments you have to fit together.
Glass lid with little handle.
A porcelain bot, black, to cook in.
The appliance body itself, which is stainless steel. And has handles on either side.
This slow cooker looks the part, you have the glass lid, so you can see easily how your cooking is going, a heating light so you can tell its cooking, a knob to change the heat setting and the body itself, which you can move around easily With the handles on the sides.
It hold up to 3 litres, so it fits in quite a lot.
You can choose to set it on high or low..
Puddings and casseroles it's about 100 degrees and should be left too cook for 3-8 hours
Roasts, stews, ribs, it's about 95 degrees and should be left to cook for 6-12 hours.
What's it for....
It's intended to make meat more tender and foot tastier, I think it's good for cheaper cuts of meat, they do Tate much better and don't taste half as cheap.
You can buy this cooker in Asda store or on the website.
I didn't use this to cook meat at a big do, I just used it to test it. As I previously said I love brisket, so I prepared the meat and put some gravy in the slow cooker, very watery gravy. With the meat and the veg. I kept checking on it every half an hour to see if it was doing okay! I waited 6 hours then got it out. I could straight say smell the difference of the meat, as I started to carve it, it just fell apart. The meat started to just melt. So I have had it for a while I have started to do casseroles in it and my fiancé can tell the difference when I am using the slow cooker. In my opinion I cannot fault this device at all. It's cheap and lasts, as I said I have had no problems with it, I have never had to change the fuse and it has never not worked.
I think this is better than some slow cookers I have bought, it's 3 litre capacity is more than enough for me, and I think the taste and quality of meat are amazing. I have has no problems with this cooker at all, I cannot fault it in anyway, especially the price.
Very very cheap for a slow cooker.
Cooks meat to perfection.
Looks very stylish.
Hold a lot.
I don't think it has any
Would I recommend...
I always recommend this, when my mothers broke, I advised her to buy one!
Summary: Great slow cooker, specially for the price.
