Advantages: quick, easy

Disadvantages: a bit expensive

What would I do without her? Used to my Nescafé for breakfast, and to the tea/coffee succession when I am in front of this screen (accompanied of sweets and chocolates) it must be (almost) the most indispensable appliance in my house.

We were presented in Germany, and there we got to know each other. When I left to live in London, in my first small room, perhaps there were not many things, but she was there. It could not be otherwise in the country in which you can find it in any house, office, any work place for minuscule that is. Even in the booth of a tolls collector she has her corner with the sugar, the tea or coffee and her: the kettle.

There are many sizes and ways, miniatures to travel or very sophisticated models but everywhere you will find it.

My Braun AquaExpress was my mother's gift. She has already gotten used also and when I returned to Spain she knew that I would need it.

This model is a cordless jug with lid that works by placing on the base and pressing the switch. And in some seconds, it boils your cup (well, not exactly)

The design is very beautiful: smooth and soft to the tact, with a lid that opens up when pressing a button and a scale filter. The capacity is of something more than a litre and a half (enough!) with a water level gauge to measure the quantities. My color is cream (vanilla) but there is enough to choose.

It is of the quickest that I have seen: in the time that I take in bringing the cups and teaspoons (about 20 seconds) the water is boiled. If I had to be heating in a ladle or filling cups and putting in the microwave, my consumption of coffee would probably be reduced a lot... And some day I will have saved enough electricity to pay for the purchase (in some thousands of years, approximately: this doesn't belong to the cheapest models).

And for the absent-minded ones (to avoid burning the kitchen some day), it stops if:
-the water has boiled

-there is no water (that is me)
-the lid is open
-it is removed from the base

And those that take the coffee with milk will have to do with a milk heater because here you can only use water.

This is my whim, a whim that one gets used to and hooked almost without realizing it until it is already too late.

Hi - Good op! I have no need for a kettle as I don't drink tea or coffee but I liked the op.
