Advantages: It looks like a cow!!, It makes great toasties.

Disadvantages: You can only do one round at a time.

You know you're getting old when you actually have an opinion on household appliances, let alone be excited at getting one as a present. My Mum bought me daisy (the sandwich toaster in question), she bought it for no apparent reason. I went round her house one day and she said "I bought you a present" and presented me with it. When I opened the box and took it out I was so impressed (perhaps too much so!!). My boyfriend looked very unimpressed, but I was over the moon with it (sad, I know!!).

When I got home with my new toy, I had to try it out straight away. I proceeded to cook myself a ham and cheese toastie, under the misconception that the boyfriend who was not impressed by it wouldn't want one....wrong!! I ended up surrendering my toastie to him and then having to cook myself another one. It was great. I discovered the joy of toasted sandwiches. There are so many fillings you can have, I never get bored of them.

The only problem is that myself and the boyfriend fight for the first round of sandwiches every time. He usually wins, but good things are worth the wait. Perhaps I wouldn't have been so impressed if the sandwich toaster didn't look like a cow, and wasn't so cute.....but it does, and it is.
