~Introduction~ In my highly regarded and respected opinion, there is nothing better than a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich. It beats every sandwich and baguette or roll filling that I can think of. Plus, with the addition of toasted bread, it's sublime and unbeatable. They are very popular in our household and we probably get through a big packet of cheese in about three days. It has started to become very ridiculous having to keep turning on the grill and from what I can gather it uses up a lot of electricity. We have had our Breville Sandwich Toaster for a couple of years now. It's always something that we turn to when we want a quick and convenient snack. I look on it as my way to make sandwiches more interesting! I thought it would be nice to share my little god-send with you. The Breville Sandwich Maker comes in three colours; green, blue and white and is currently on sale at Argos for £29.95. There is also a chrome option, but that it a few pounds more. This is my third sandwich toaster, and they get better and better. This one is easy to clean outside and inside, heats up in a few minutes (usually before I have finished preparing the fillings) and looks good on my worktop. Sandwich toasters are great things if you take a little time to prepare yourself. The bread should be medium or thick, square cut, or cut the crust off to make a square. Butter your bread (lightly) on the outside. Any spread will do, low fat is just as good as butter to make your sandwich golden brown. Prepare your fillings.
