Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: none really
Being sick and fed up with our corded kettle , I was kind of pleased when it finally decided not to work . It had been playing up for ages , boiling , then not boiling . It was also restricting as you had to pull the lead out every time you wanted to take the kettle over to the cooker . ( I don't trust myself carrying saucepans of water , and come to think of it neither does my girlfriend !!! ) I decided to go and buy a new cordless kettle . I was so impressed with the cost of my new cookworks toaster ( see op ) I decided to look at the cordless kettles in their range . A 2 litre cordless Cookworks kettle for only 9.75 , I didn't need to look any further . Pg 424 in the Argos catalogue , just incase your interested . They come in 2 colours white and bottle green , the range of colours is a bit limiting for those among us who have to have everything colour coordinated . I bought the green one as that was the only colour Argos had in stock . MMM my other half wasn't too impressed as the rest of the kitchen appliances are white ...opps ... I'm a bloke I didn't know . Anyway it boils water and it works , and I think the colour brightens up the kitchen . The kettle has a hinged lid and a removable washable nylon filter , which is good as it stops the bits of lime scale escaping into your cup of tea , ( you know the gritty bits that make you choke when you've used the tiny bit of water left in the kettle for your tea !! ) The kettle also has a water level indicator and auto switch off . So the kettle switches off when it has finished boiling , and has a safety cut out feature in the event of the kettle being empty when switched on . The kettle goes with really good instructions and a 12 month guarantee . The kettle's water indicator also tells you the amount of water you will need for 2 - 7 cup's . What are you waiting for ... go out any buy one !
