I have had my old cordless kettle for a few years now and it is looking decidedly tatty on the kitchen top, also it is a dark green colour and looks unsightly against everything else in the kitchen. I bought it on a whim, my plans were to go all green at the time but I never quite finished off the décor. It is supposed to switch off when boiled but I think it has worn itself out and the kitchen is getting more like a sauna nowadays with it boiling and filling the place with steam.
