Advantages: Easy to use, tea is ready when you want it, nice teapot.

Disadvantages: Alarm is very loud, Doesnt include cups.

I purchased this for my mum as she is unable to get out of bed by herself anymore and thought this would give her a little independance as she would be able to make her own tea without having to get to the kitchen.

I bought it from Argos at £49.99. I know it was quite expensive but thought it would be worth it to give my mum the ability to have a cup when ever she liked.

I had read some negative reviews prior to purchasing but have luckily never had experienced any issues.

This tea maker is also a clock and alarm so you can set the alarm and the tea will be ready for you getting up. It also has a tea now facility which means she can have tea anytime.

It says it is 600 watts which is quite low but it does make quite a lot of noise when it is boiling so we no longer use the alarm function as the buzzing is very loud and the boiling wakes her up.

This is a quality product and is well made. It is really nice that the tea is actually made in a ceramic teapot rather than a cup and that it keeps warm for a while so top ups are easy. The teapot can make 4 cups at a time so when friends pop in Mum can make them a cup too.

I know at least 2 of her friends that have now bought one for themselves as they were so impressed with this product.

It was really easy to set up with clear instructions and for the quality it is extremely light which is a benefit if this is for an older person.

Only issue I have with it is that it doesnt come with cups which I think would be nice especially at the price you are paying for it.

Overall I would highly recommend this tea maker.

Summary: A quality product perfect for that morning cuppa
