Advantages: multi-use, practicle, easy to clean

Disadvantages: none

Product description:-

A Multi-use ceramic cooking pot in a slow heating metal caddy with two heat settings for slow cooking a multitude of dishes. It also has a heat resistant lid, which along with the ceramic insert can be used in the oven and dishwasher. It plugs into your usual 3 pin socket as do most kitchen appliences.

--------------------

Product uses:-

Almost any complete dish can be cooked in this versatile cooking pot.Anything from beef stew, chicken soup and assorted curries to porridge, pot roasts and braised whole fish. All these can be cooked in around 9 hours or under and can be kept warm for hours more. The ceramic inner can also be used in a conventional in the oven.

--------------------

Product pricing:-

At around 25 pounds this product is an inexpensive addition to the kitchen and with the ceramic insert doubling as an oven dish you get extra value. It is also worth taking into account that it uses very little elctricity to run, far less than running an oven for an hour or so.

--------------------

Using your slow cooker:-

Choose your dish, prepare your ingredients...chuck them in, switch on and go and enjoy the day..Then come back a few hours later and enjoy your meal !!!
The only things that you realy need to know is that meat is much better if very lightly fried to seal in the juices, and although this is not nessasary if you don't your meat can have almost a slimey texture.
It is always worth bearing in mind that slow cookers work by keeping the moisture sealed in..so the less times you lift the lid the better !!!
Meals such as porridge and rice dishes need less cooking so either put them on low or cook them for a shorter time.

-------------------

In my humble opinion:-

My Cordon Bleu slow cooker has earnt it's money ten times over.I work hard and have a family of five to keep fed and I save so much time by being able

to just throw the ingredients in "the pot".The food that is cooked in it is very very tender due to the slow long cooking process and smells and tastes delicious.
It also provides me with a large oven dish when the need arises for conventional oven cooking.
In the winter when it is a big cold rush to get three children to different schools early in the morning, I can at least serve them some nutritous hot porridge straight from the slow cooker(all prepared the night before)in less time than it takes to open a box of cerial !!! And that makes me a popular Mom too!!
I have to say as well ,that with it's dual temprature settings and generous capacity (4 litres) it is about the best buy in the slow cooker market.

-------------------

Pro's and Cons:-

Very easy to use and clean. It comes with easy to follow instructions and a good recipe booklet with many tips.
In even the quietest of homes it can be a great time saving gadget and produces the most delicious meals.
The ceramic inner is multi purpose and easy to clean.

I do have to point out one downfall for the slow cooker and that is that if you use the inner as a coventional oven dish, you must remember not to put it straight onto cold surfaces once out of the oven as they are prone to cracking under such cercumstances!!

-------------------

Summery:-

Splash out!! Buy one !! You won't regret it :)
