Have you noticed these days that to even admit to cooking with fat gets looks of shear shock and horror from all of your dieting, and non dieting friends. There is something about today’s society that there are whole food groups that we feel guilty about enjoying, and so diminish the enjoyment of food. The biggest item of guilt factor is to admit that you use any form of fat in your diet. Now I have been guilty of the same state of prejudice for sometime now, In the early days of our marriage we owned a deep fat fryer and used it from time to time and it got greasy and horrid and eventually we threw it away declaring to the world that ‘Oven chips are ... I have had my frier for nearly six months now, and I want to know - why aren't other fryers this good? For me the most important thing after how good it cooks is how good it cleans... This is brilliant. Open the front and out pops a rubber tube. Take the cap off the end and out drains the oil. You can either filter it to use again or, if it's too dirty, drain it into a container for disposal. thenn a good wipe out with soupy hot water and your ready to start again. No having to lift-out a heavy inner tank ... the second great thing about this fryer is how it works. the basket rotatesn an angle so that the food dips in and out of the hot ... I was bought this fryer as a present . I must admit although the idea of a fryer where the basket rotated the food so that some of the time it is in the fat and some of the time it is not submerged may have sounded novel, but when investing in a piece of equipment I tend to be rather conservative. Last thing I will want is children complaining that the chips aren't cooked properly. When I got it out and used it I was surprised firstly because I did not have to put as much fat n the bowl as for other fryers I have used. The food that it produced was good, but then again, I thought, a fryer fries food, not a lot else it can do. It needs accurate ... Read the complete review

I needed a deep fat fryer. I shopped around and the choice was mind blowing. Did I want to pay for one that dismantled, was a rotating fryer an expensive gimmic. After reading the reviews I bought the Delonghi rotofryer. It has an angled base which rotates, so you only actually need just over a litre of oil to cook. It has 2 filters in the lid which are very simple to replace. The lid comes off for cleaning. The other main difference is that you can drain off the oil through an integral drainage tube into a filtered container which is provided. To clean the fryer you simply put hot water and washing up liquid ... Read the complete review
