Advantages: None
Disadvantages: burns, too long to heat up.
I had a kitchen fitted by the council a year ago. They fitted me with Firenzi electric oven and hob. Apparently they make names exclusively for different suppliers to avoid price wars. My kitchen was from Magnet but say B@Q supplied the same oven cheaper, there would be a dispute, so they give suppliers a unique name and a slightly different feature on each product so no comparisons can be made. Anyway I was immediately dissatisfied with both hob and oven because they took so long to heat up. The oven takes 20 minutes to preheat and the hob takes at least 5 minutes. If I ccok meat, I have to put it on a rack and put water in the oven dish otherwise everything dries out and fills the kitchen with a burning smell. From the start I noticed that my oven was burning everything without cooking it. People would tease me about it and say I was making exuses but even when I cook something at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes, it would be burnt yet uncooked. I had that fixed but just a few weeks later nothing was cooking. I cooked a small chicken for 3 hours and it was still practically raw. I had the thermostat replaced and all was fine except the light no longer works. For an oven I have only had for a year I think this is disgusting. Also, the grill only has one temperature setting, and where I used to grill most things, I hardly ever use it now as everything gets burnt. It also makes the oven smell terrible. I am sure I was fitted with a basic cheap version but I would not recommend it to anyone. I wish I had gas.
