Small Kitchen Appliances in General

I live in a terraced victorian 157 year old, 3 storey home, as with all old properties we suffer with condensation on the walls and windows due to cooking, the washing machine, tumble dryer, bathing/showers and breathing.... I have been saying we needed a dehumidifier for ages and just recently brought the PREM~I~AIR model, it cost me around £200.00, expensive but it will pay for itself in the long run! Since I brought it there is no condensation on the windows [I have double glazing] and I use the dehumidifier every day, especially lately as with all this rain I cant put my washing out so I use a tumble dryer, even though the tumble dryer has a hose fitted ...

Many people do not understand dehumidifiers, the way they work or the benefits they provide. Dehumidifiers work by drawing air over elements in the unit, the elements are cooler than the air itself, which causes the water in the air to condense (turn back to water) the moisture is retained in the unit and the warmer dry air is put back into the household. Many homes do not have adequate heating, small houses flats etc have no where to dry washing, so people dry the washing inside, small rooms with little or no air circulation or just general households.
