Advantages: lean, mean, easy to use machine

I cannot emphasise enough how brilliant these health grills are. They are so simple to use, cook things really well and easily and are healthy too (supposedly - we'll come back to that later!!)

There is basically a griddle with ridges that gets extremely hot. You place your meat or veg or fish on the griddle and shut the lid. This causes the top griddle to press down on the food inside and so it is cooks evenly on both sides. Due to the ridges, any fat or water from the food drains away and into a drip tray situated at the front.

If you are on a diet or concerned about the amount of fat you eat, this is a great way to ensure you are getting rid of as much fat as possible. Also, by getting rid of water in the same way it makes things like grilled prawns truly delicious.

It's also really easy to keep clean - the non-stick is very high quality.

The only downside.... the first time wee used it, we cooked pork chops. The fat that came out all collected in a tray and we sat like two little piggies with a french stick, dipping in the fat - oh my was it good! I'm sure George Foreman would have been proud!!!

(P.S. Tried an Asda own make version which is much much cheaper and works just as well)
