... at this low price. The only grumble I've got with this kettle is in relation to getting it to sit neatly on the base. I was a bit concerned about all the fiddling about I had to do initially, but eventually I found that there's a knack to getting this on the base properly first time and got the hang of it after a short while. The kettle feels really light, as it's quite a thin appliance made from thin plastic. It does have a cheap feel to it I have to admit, but then it IS cheap so what can I expect? It do...more

Premium Review Hinari Kettle: Cheap But Effective (377 words)

I got a Hinari kettle recently from Amazon and am really impressed with it so far. I've had it for a couple of months now and it's going strong, which is pretty impressive for a kettle I paid less than a tenner for! The model I've got is the Hinari Kettle in black with scripts, and it costs £8.99 from Amazon at present. This kettle is a basic little number that sits neatly on the side in the kitchen on top of a base that's plugged into the wall. The electricity all comes through the base, as this is a cordless kettle even at this low price. The only grumble I've got with this kettle is in relation to getting it to sit neatly on the base. Hinari Lifestyle Kettle I've had this kettle for a good few months now, it's one of those cordless jobs, you know the ones I mean, the cord is actually attached to the base unit which the kettle sits in and can be lifted out for easy filling from the tap. The cord on the base unit itself is only 60cm long but I think that's a good thing as it's less likely to get tangled with other gadgets and sits nice and close to the wall, also making it less likely for inquisitive little ones(if you have any)or mad mohican giraffes to be able to get hold of it I would say. The kettle itself is white, with a few touches of ...  Read the complete review

Household appliances - can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em!! (Haven't I used that line somewhere else recently?!) I used to have a white plastic Haden jug kettle - it was cheap, it was sturdy, it lasted me about 12 years before it finally became just a little bit too unreliable and dodgy to use. Once the stage had come when it wouldn't switch off automatically until it had filled my flat with steam making me feel like an extra in "Wuthering Heights" and had taken to giving out vicious little sparks whenever I switched it on or off I reluctantly binned it. 12 years, one of the longest relationships I've ever had! ...  Read the complete review

great looks and simple to clean (106 words)

I recently bought a hinari lifestyle cordless kettle in yellow. It has a round base whereby the kettle is actually connected via the centre of the base, another innovation is the element, it covers the base of the kettle and is flat, so no awkward bits to clean. The shape is a round bulb type design, it looks really modern and boils very quickly too. Matching toaster and sandwich toaster are available too, can be bought in argos or woolworths and many other stores. Oh nearly forgot it also has a removable filter on the spout also which is of a non-drip design. ...  Read the complete review
