Newest Review: ... Christmas catalogue for about £20 and quickly put it on my Christmas wish list. The day finally came and yes, I got it! ... more

... The fun and festivities of Christmas day passed and Boxing Day came. My boyfriend and I settled down to watch some new DVDs and this time had the popcorn to go with them. To use the machine, you first need to measure (or just pour in my case) your popcorn kernels into the measuring spoon type thing, which sits in the top of the lid. Pour it into the main body of the machine, make sure the lid and measuring spoon are securely back in place* and switch it on. *This part is very important as I found out when my...more

The Hinari Popcorn Maker, Model PC334 If you want to eat hot popcorn whilst watching your home movie, then this popcorn maker is just the trick. What's more popcorn is a delicious cholesterol free, low-calorie snack. I purchased this Popcorn Maker from Index priced £14.50, with a 12 month gurantee. This unit stands just under 30cm's and is about 20cm's in diameter. The unit comes in 3 parts. The motor unit, lid and measuring cup. The lid clips on to the top of the motor unit. The measuring cup is inserted in to the top of the lid. The main unit is white and the lid and measuring cup is a brown colour but see through. ...  Read the complete review

So you’ve just bought a new film… popped it in the player… turned the sound up…the lights down and settled onto your favourite sofa with your favourite person. But what’s missing? The popcorn of course! I’ve fancied a popcorn maker for a few years but could never find one I liked the look of. They all seemed to aimed at children and had some sort of weird animal face attached (not the look I’m going for in my kitchen). Then I spotted the sexy Hinari popcorn maker. It has a shiny, silver coloured body, with a black/brown lid and portion measurer. The switch is located just round the back of the unit near the ...  Read the complete review

I love popcorn but it was starting to get a bit expensive and whenever i made it in a saucepan i would have to endure endless scrubbing at the end. Worrying about my health (and bank balance!) i decided to purchase a popcorn maker from Argos for £14.50. WOw, a bargain i thought and expected it not to be any good but this product is alright actually! Buying a bag of popcorn seeds from the shop for £1.49 (this will vary of course) i rushed home excitedly and plugged the thing in. There really wasn't that much to read in the instructions as operation was pretty straight forward. The lid contained a special cup which when filled was the perfect measure of ...  Read the complete review

Pops 280ml in 2½ minutes - ready to eat in 30 seconds. No oil required. Chute directs corn into serving bowl. lovely hot fresh tasty popcorn ready straight from the bowl, all for around 69p for a bag of popping corn, this is a really neat idea which was given to us as a wedding present and we continue to use as its such a great idea for a low fat but full of taste snack. Kids love it they really do, and it wont ruin their dinner! Its not dangerous for them to do as there is no hot oil, the corn is popped by hot air circulating around the chute so it just feels like a hairdryer blowing out hot air, fun safe and tasty, I recommend ...  Read the complete review

We were bought this popcorn maker as a Christmas present a few years ago. I thought it was a strange present to buy someone and I kept it in the kitchen cupboard for ages, and then one Friday evening my husband suggested that we give it a try. It only took about a minute or so for it to warm up. We put some popping corn in and let it do the rest. Shortly after, the cooked popcorn started to come out slow at first, and then bucketfuls came out and it was going everywhere. It was hillarious to watch!! We ended up with mountains of popcorn at the end. You then either eat it plain, or add a bit of sugar, salt or honey. If you eat if plain it is very ...  Read the complete review
