I use this vacuum sealer an awful lot, it is a great little gadget and while it is not exactly cheap at £40 but it is another of those JML products that just seems to work so effectively and you wonder what you ever did without it.

Powered from the mains you can choose to just seal some food or to vacuum seal it, the former just seals the contents into the bag while the latter orces out all of the air in the bag and then seals it, sort of like the vacuum packing of clothes that I do when travelling and previously I have bought specialist bags but now for my toiletries i use these. By removing the air the food will last longer in the pack, the blurb with this sealer claims it will add five days extra to the foods life.

It is so simple to operate, just place the food in the bag and then enter one end after the other into the device to seal each end securely. I use it when I want to seal meat for freezing and also veg that is going in a lunch box. It has been very useful after preparing meals in advance when I know I will be working long hours and then being able to access the food from the freezer, espeacially for my daughters meals.

You can buy the bags and also a roll that you cut to your own size, I use a mix of the ready cut bags and also the roll, the bags are reusable and can be washed in the dishwasher however you have to be careful when removing the contents from the bags as if they rip then they cannot be used again.

It is a great little device that does not take up too much space, it is easy to operate and pretty safe as well. I have been using mine for the best part of a year now and there have been no issues with it at all.
