Advantages: BOILS QUICK
Disadvantages: ??
Well sorry this is going to be a boring op about a kettle. the kenwood JK 965 a different kettle to the one this space has been created for but it is kenwood and cordless. Ishall request a place to put this op and change it A S A P Thanks to everyone who read my op about being a parent of a disabled/ill child and your kind comments I found it helpful to tell you about the way I felt nice to get some supportive sympathy If you find it difficult to acess opps go to the adress bar at the top of the page and delete =s at the end to +L it is a bit slow loading opps at the moment Anyway back to kettles My Rowena kettle just stopped one day I did all the obvious checks fuses plugs, but it was dead! I checked the guarantee, but it had run out by a month or two we have only had my kettle about 18 months boohoo. (I have brought my previous op about this kettle to the top of the page should you wish to read it and compare it to my new kettle) I took a trip to Argos it is fairly near my work and was convenient for me. I purchased a Kenwood jk955 vision rapid boil kettle for £27.90 This kettle has an energy efficient printed disk element a flat disk at the bottom of the kettle. It has a wide angled spout so you can fill it from the tap. It has an integral scale filter to stop any scale getting into your tea. It has a water window for all round visibility. The colour is white I don?t think the shape is quite as nice as the Rowena kettle it is not quite as curvy. It boils very fast and efficiently and switches of by itself very quickly after the water begins to boil I can see that will save a lot on my electricity bills the kettle is always on for a cup of tea in my house. I can see through the window how much water is in it, so I can just boil enough for 1 or 2 cups and save electricity by only boiling sufficient water for my needs It has one big draw back it is ver
y noisy I think if I had known how noisy it was I might have chosen a different kettle. However it is very efficient at boiling water. I just hope it l asts longer than my last kettle Anyone fancy a cuppa just going to put the kettle on now thanks for reading.

aefra - 06/11/02 I had a fast boiling kettle and loved it. It was so fast that it practically took off. My stepson, visiting, told me that it wouldn't last long. Being an "always right" Yorkshireman like his dad, I expected the worst. Sure enough, it blew up. :-) |
