I am now on my third fryer in just over a year-all from Kenwood.

I bought the DF350 at the end of August last year. It was brilliant until just before christmas when I turned on the fryer and..... nothing. No light, no heat, nothing. So I returned it to the store and got a replacement.

Everything was fine until the beginning of September when I went to turn on the fryer and you've guessed it - nothing happened.

So I called Kenwood on the customer service line and explained the situation. They said it was fine and they would collect the old one then send me a brand new DF650 (a newer model).

Well they collected the first one and after 10 days I still hadn't recieved my new one so I called Kenwood again. The advisor said it had been dispatched but would check with their drivers. I was told that it was on its way. Eventually I received the fryer only to find that is was a DF350 not the newer model as promised.

So I called customer services again and they supposedly sent another one out. But after another week it had still not arrived, so again a telephone call to Kenwood. This time they arranged a delivery date while I was on the phone and this morning it arrived.

"Great" I thought "chips for tea" but no, this one is cracked. So again a phone call to Kenwood. Apparently I will receive the replacement in the morning - we shall see.

Hopefully this one will be better. It certainly looks good and has lots of features but i am wondering whether it will last longer than six months.

And if it dosen't? I can only hope that the people at Kenwood will have got their act together by then.
