OK so make no bones about it.... being dairy allergic sucks.... big time. The major things I miss is a nice rich smooth icecream, whether it be soft serve mr whippy style or out of the tub. Soya versions sold in supermarkets (if your lucky) or healthfood stores tent to be nice, but watery & expensive to say the least. Last year I pulled a massive coop! For my birthday my dad bought me a yogurt maker, and for christmas the other half (clearly quite fed up of my moaning about the lack of creamy icecream I could eat!) bought me this doogie little icecream maker. For more years than I wish to reveal I’ve made ice cream for the family using the old fashioned method of beating furiously with a wooden spoon, freezing the mixture, more beating, etc etc. I always thought that I had no need for an electric ice cream maker.
