... toasts nice and evenly. There is a removable crumb tray (very useful!). It has a cool wall contraction which stops you getting burnt and is especially good with little ones around. There is a dial on the right hand side that you turn depending upon how browned you like your toast and there are 3 buttons on the front; forced pop-up, defrosting & re-heat. When I bought this item it cost me £35. You can pick one up now (June 2005) on Amazon for £29.99. This toaster represents good value for money, because not only do...more

Premium Review Kenwood Slice Toaster: Toasts-so-good! Kenwood TT996 stainless steel toaster  (461 words)

Rating:

Kenwood TT996 4 slice stainless steel toaster - I wanted a 4 slice toaster capable to toasting anything I chose to throw at it and I also wanted something that would look good in my gleaming stainless steel and light wood brand new kitchen. The toaster looks fabulous with its stainless steel body and is also slim and compact (unlike me, sadly), so is ideal for a smaller kitchen or for when you don’t want a Dualit ‘4 slices side by side’ type toaster that hogs all the work top room and is so large that it becomes a focal point! I’ve had this toaster now for just over 2 years and think it’s great. The toast slots are wide enough to fit in ...  Read the complete review

We recently bought a new toaster (with my dooyoo vouchers I might add) and we ended up plumping for a kenwood 2 slice hi rise toaster. We have had our old toaster since we got married 4 years ago and so after the old one blew up we thought this one would be a good buy. At £20 (in Boots) it has nice functions like a deep slot for large slices of bread, and a "hi rise" lifter for toasting smaller items such as crumpets so you dont have full on war trying to get it out of the toaster. It also has a frozen bread setting so that you can toast bread from frozen and just to make life a little easier it has a pull out crumb tray for easy cleaning. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kenwood Slice Toaster: DooYoo Like Toast? (182 words)
by - written on 10/09/00 (Very useful, 154 readings)
Rating:

A toaster is not just for toasting an ordinary slice of bread; I like a toaster to be able to toast crumpets, baps and especially really thick crusty bread. (Yum Yum). Most toaster are not capable of doing this the slots are not wide enough. The toaster I own is a Kenwood Elevatio cool wall 4-slice toaster. It has really wide extra deep slots, so you can toast literally anything. Say you cook some toast and it goes cold, it has a special re-heat facility, I find this a really handy feature, especially if you like your toast warm. The reason why it's called an elevatio is because when your toast is cooked it lifts it well clear of the ...  Read the complete review
