My wife isn’t a wasteful woman, which is obviously good, so when she told me she wanted this mixer I was taken aback, as it was so expensive. She is an excellent cook and enjoys cooking in all its guises. When we first married she introduced me to a Kenwood chef which was rather like a pet as it had been in the family so long. This died quite suddenly; it choked on some bread dough and was unable to be resuscitated. The KitchenAid KSM150 BWH Artisan Food Mixer was to be the replacement. The KitchenAid® stand mixer was designed by one of the great American style gurus, Egmont Arens. First launced in 1937, it ranks as one of the classic iconic shapes of the early 20th century. I was given my KitchenAid Artisan mixer as a gift from my daughter who lives in the States. We went together and chose it from a fabulous shop called Bed, Bath & Beyond at the Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix, Arizona. When I moved here to the UK from the US, I was heart broken to have to sell my Kitchenaid mixer. When I found out they were available here, I used my first paycheque to purchase a new one, Those first few weeks without it were tough! The kitchenaid mixer is a must for anyone who loves to cook or even if you just want to have more time and make life easier in the kitchen. It is a gorgeous machine to look at and hasn't changed much since they were first made in 1919! No need to improve much on a great thing, I guess.
