Advantages: looks lovely, solid piece of kit, works beautifully

Disadvantages: expensive

I bought my kitchenaid mixer after seeing it a local shop. It has very retro looks - much more attractive than the more ordinary Kenwood mixer (which was the other option). It does exactly what it says on the box - mixes, blends and will knead bread dough while I get on with the rest of the cooking - wonderful.

Bread making in particular is a doddle - just bung in your ingredients and let it do it's stuff - OK so you don't get to vent the frustrations of the day on your bread dough but neither do you need to stand there for ages pummeling your bread to get an even textured loaf. Besides, you can always finish it off by hand if you feel the need (or is that knead!)

I'd like to say hello and welcome, and also echo what Fishbulb wrote. :-)

These Kitchenaids have such a fab reputation. I really wouldn't mind one myself. If only they were cheaper!

Excellent pun at the end there ;o)

I like the sound of this (but my wallet doesn't like the price ouch!) not a bad start at all, perhaps a little short though - you could quite easily add more info to make this Very Useful - things like how much space does it take up, more about the attachments, cleaning, maintainence etc. :o)

Hope you have fun here, the best way to get the most out of the site is to start reading and rating lots, then people know you're here! :o)

Have fun - Fishbulb >><>?
