Sometimes you need to deep fry more than one type of food and if you do this is the fryer for you. The first thing that you notice is that there are a lot of features with this machine. My old deep fat fryer had had it's day. There was more fat on the outside than there was on the inside.It had seen more chips than Harry Ramsden. I decided it was time to buy a new one so I had a look through my catalogue and decided on the Morphy Richards. It was large enough at a push to feed my 5 kids in one sitting. Supposed to be easy to clean, viewing window, various cooking temperatures, usual stuff. After the third or fourth time of using it the metal bar that the handle hinged on popped out on one side. When I saw this in the shop I had to look twice ? a deep fat fryer that goes in the dishwasher. The whole thing dismantles ? the bowl, the sides, the lid and it?s all dishwashable. No more greasy sides, yacky stains or gummy bits. The element comes away from the rest of the machine - chuck it in the dishwasher and put it back together ? you don?t need a degree to do this ? it fits together quite easily.
