My old deep fat fryer had had it's day. There was more fat on the outside than there was on the inside.It had seen more chips than Harry Ramsden. I decided it was time to buy a new one so I had a look through my catalogue and decided on the Morphy Richards. It was large enough at a push to feed my 5 kids in one sitting. Supposed to be easy to clean, viewing window, various cooking temperatures, usual stuff. After the third or fourth time of using it the metal bar that the handle hinged on popped out on one side.
