... chips in one go. My new fryer holds a full four litres of oil. Although I wasn’t sure by looking at the size of the basket it does take 1kg of chips. The second consideration has to be cleaning. It is stainless steel, which I have found is far easier to keep clean than the plastic one I had before. It completely comes to pieces so you can fully immerse all of it apart from the element. Basically in a word, Brilliant. The third consideration was cost. At £79.00 it was really a lot of money for a glorified chip ...more

I wrote an opinion for Dooyoo basically having a moan about my last deep fat fryer. I have decided that it is only fair therefore to write an opinion about my new one too. I have a large family, 2 adults, 5 kids and my chip pan gets plenty of use. I was never really happy with my last deep fat fryer from the beginning and it used to drop to bits at the most inopportune moments. (See other op) So I decided to invest in a new one. After having a good look round and weighing up all the costs, (including buying a chippy) I decided to buy the Moulinex Pro Clean Deep Fat Fryer. My first consideration obviously had to be the size. I am sick to death ...

Safety reasons was another factor in me buying a deep fat fryer. My hubby had a habit of frying chips and popping into the living room every few minutes to watch the television leaving it unattended, dangerous game that and one day I could see it going up in flames. It also has a viewing window which you must remember to smear with a little oil if not you won't see a thing because it'll steam up. It has temperature settings 1 - 4. It also has a filter system for breaded foods, you buy the filters (they are like large coffee filters) and they fit into your basket and clip in so that you don't ruin your oil. All in all I am very happy with this fryer and would ...
