It does allow some of the smaller chunky bits of orange through, which is excellent for me as I love 'bitty' orange juice; it also means that the strainer part doesn't get clogged before the bowl is full. One of my sons likes juice without any bits, but he simply pours his through a fine-mesh nylon sieve to get the consistency he wants. So we no longer need our...more

Crowned Review Moulinex Food Processor: A First-Rate Food Processor (2475 words)

Years ago I had a food processor, but rarely used it. I didn't have room for it on my work surface, and there was no easy way of storing all the various attachments, other than to pack them away neatly in the box. Then it always seemed such a hassle to take out again. Oh, it was good for grating cheese or chopping onions, but took so much time and effort to put together (and then clean up and put away again) that I generally didn't bother. A few months ago, I reconsidered, after watching a friend who uses her food processor almost daily. After much thought - and being in the right place at the right time - I managed to buy I bought a Moulinex Ovatio 3 ...

Earlier this year as a present I received a Moulinex Ovatio 2 Duo Press food processor, it is the first food processor that I have owned. It has all the usual food processor functions, it slices, juices, blends, mixes, shreds, dices and blends. Since owning it I have used it for slicing, mixing, whipping and blending but must admit that I do not think that it is “the best thing since sliced bread”. It has so many parts that you have to do a whole bowl of washing just to do one small job but that is not all sometimes I think that it is far easier and quicker to use my old methods such as whipping with my hand whisk and slicing with my hand ...

I bought a Masterchef 20 a few months ago when they were on offer in Asda and I think it only cost me about £20. It is just a basic food processor and has attachments for grating, slicing, kneading dough, blending and whisking. I don't really need any more as this is all i would use it for anyway. I've made cookie dough in it, bread dough and my favourite use for my food processor is grating cheese. We grate a whole block of cheese at a time and then store it in a tub in the fridge so its ready to use whenever. I find that we use more cheese now as its already grated. If you're looking for a food processor that doesn't do anything fancy ...
