This is a kettle with a round base. The importance of this is that it allows the kettle to be placed on the removable base unit at any orientation. The removable base houses the electrical connection to the mains electricity by the way. Most other kettles entail fiddling around to get the kettle to settle on the base and so make a good electrical connection. Another consequence and advantage of this design is that LEFT HANDERS can use it as easily as RIGHT HANDERS. We got this as a replacement for the other circular based electric kettle by Haden, which was getting a bit worn but was still serviceable. We would have got another Haden, if the usual ...
