My husband suffers quite badly from hayfever in the summer, so it's either have the windows open in the bedroom and don't get any sleep due to all the sneezing or have the window shut and don't get any sleep due to it being too hot/stuffy. The solution was an ioniser. I bought one of these years ago, it was quite small and fitted nicely onto the bedside table. I really didn't think it would work but amazingly it did. Now I could have the windows open whilst my husband wasn't kept awaking sneezing. After many years of service my ioniser has given up the ghost and it's time for me to buy another. It's a brilliant product that ... Read the complete review

If you suffer from allergies, hayfever, and so on, it is definitely worth getting the Mountain Breeze Ioniser! What it does, is ionisises the room for you. What does that mean I hear you say? Well, in the air at present are billions and billions of positive ions. These are responsible for giving you headaches, making you feel tired etc. The ioniser combats this by producing loads of negative ions. These ions surround the positive ions, and literally drag them to the ground, where they can be vacuumed up and got rid of! Ionisers are brilliant, but they're not all equally good. There are ionisers and ionisers. Most ionisers cause a stream of ions into the air. This makes dust fall onto surfaces, which is why people notice more dust around an ioniser. But a lot of people use ionisers near the bed. Great idea, but the dust falls around the ioniser thickest, because ithis is where the effect is most. Mountain breeze contains some system (and I don't know what it is) that measn the dust falls further away, so it's safer to use it right by the bed. ... Read the complete review

I bought a Mountain Breeze ioniser/air freshener from Boots about a year ago. It cost about £25 and is about the size of a bag of sugar. I plugged it in and put a few drops of the freshener liquid on the filter and wow.....fresh air in my kitchen. Every morning for about three weeks I would walk into my kitchen and all the smells from the night before's cooking had vanished into thin air and replaced by a cool scent. I must say however that the unit is a bit noisy and when I have people round they ask me what the noise is, so it is quite noticeable. After about a month I noticed that it wasn't quite eliminating all the smells as it used to so I replaced the ... Read the complete review
