Ionisers are brilliant, but they're not all equally good. There are ionisers and ionisers. Most ionisers cause a stream of ions into the air. This makes dust fall onto surfaces, which is why people notice more dust around an ioniser.

But a lot of people use ionisers near the bed. Great idea, but the dust falls around the ioniser thickest, because ithis is where the effect is most.

Mountain breeze contains some system (and I don't know what it is) that measn the dust falls further away, so it's safer to use it right by the bed.
