I was considering buying a stainless steel kettle but sitting on the shelf next to the one I had chosen was the Prima glass kettle. "Take me home," it whispered seductively, "You know you find me attractive." I did - but I wasn't going to admit it to the kettle. "Don't be silly" I replied "You might look nice now but you'll look a total mess in a couple of weeks with the hard water in our area." "But you'll clean me more often to keep me looking good, and I'm on special offer at the moment." I didn't believe it for a second but ... Read the complete review

In our house we are big coffee and tea lovers so a decent kettle is a must. We had used the same kettle for a number of years and we finally decided to get a new one after our old one started making funny noises. My requirements for a new kettle were that it was a cordless one as I hate trailing leads, it had to have a covered element as I hated the amount of limescale we used to get on our old one, we had just decorated our kitchen and had all new stainless steel appliances so I wanted something that would fit in and it had to have a 360 degree base as I hated having to make sure old our one was positioned properly. Pot noodles take aggggeeeessssss to make. The quicker I can get that water boiled and into the pot of delicious plastic noodles the sooner I can be slurping them down my fat throat. I need a fast kettle, it's essential. The prima PGK300 is one fast son of a boiler. The fastest I've ever had. It isn't plastic, it isn't metal, it's made of glass, it's a seethrough kettle. Great quality that is, seethroughness in a kettle, it means the chubster can see at a glance if it needs more water - and that means countless wasted sink journeys avoided. It looks like one cool dude of a boiling device too. "Oh oh oh I'm on fire" it seems ... Read the complete review

My old kettle was only boiling sometimes and at other times it wouldn't work so I looked in argos for a more reliable one and bought a Prima about three weeks ago. At £26.95 it was quite expensive for a kettle but I was attracted by its looks with its see through glass body so I thought what the hell and went for it. The features of the kettle are a "3kW rapid boil concealed element" and I must say it does boil very quickly, well under a minute if half full. "1.5 litre capacity" which is average for kettle capacity. "360° rotating base" which is handy because you can pick it up from any angle and it is ok for left handed people ...
