Advantages: fits under the taps
Disadvantages: none
The first thing I do in the morning (after brushing my teeth) and the first thing I do when I get home weary from work is switch the Kettle on. It is such an essential piece of equipment I thought I would tell you about mine. I have a Rowena cosmos cordless Kettle. I have owned it just over a year now. We were given a traditional Russell Hobbs kettle for a wedding present 27 years ago. That kettle lasted us about 20 years then I bought a jug kettle cheap one ok lasted a couple of years then another one and another one not very satisfactory. When sleepy dormouse got married I was jealous of all her new equipment we researched the best brands for people to buy as gifts. My kettle was on the way out again so fed up with having second-rate things I researched kettles and decided on the Rowena cosmos cordless Will describe it a little The kettle is white with a pleasant curved shape with a egg shaped viewing window so you can see how much water is in it this has marks for .5, 1, and 1.5 litres on it. Useful if you are making something that requires that amount of boiled water e g instant custard. A curved round smooth handle easy to grip left or right handed useful as dearly beloved is left handed (he says left handed people are more intelligent) the round button on of switch is located on the handle. A round hinged lid fits snugly on top unlikely to fall of and scald fingers A short round spout so you can fill from the tap through the spout easily this has a filter in it . The kettle has no cord so I can wander around the house with it if I so wished. The kettle fits on a round base that is attached to a lead and a plug, which I have plugged in a socket near the fridge. This kettle is marketed as never needs descaling. I live in a very hard water area and descaling is a drag This kettle is designed with its heating elements concealed snugly under a stainless steel flat bot
tom inside the kettle I usually use a water filter to put my water in before putting the water in the kettle. I have used it for a while without doing this and I found that this system did remove nearly all the lime scale just a tiny white film appeared on the stainless steel internal base which was easy to wipe off with a cloth remember I live in a chalky hard water area so this was brilliant. The kettle weighs 1 kg Has a cord .8 metre long is 24volts 2200 watts Tank capacity 1.5 litres I rarely if ever require more boiled water than that. I find it easy to fill and have had no problems with it failing so far I would certainly recommend it. In fact I hear dearly beloved getting out of bed (it is now 7 .o clock) in the morning so I will go and use my Rowenta cosmos cordless kettle now and please him with a nice cup of tea thank you for reading. Boo hoo Its broken!October 2002 have to buy a new one
