I find with working full time, it can be quite hard to always have nice meals every night, especially when a lot of preparation is involved. This is why, I bought this slow cooker when I saw it for a fantastic price as you can cook a lot of great things in these and you don't have to stand watching it all day. I have made a number of great dishes with this and what I like the most is that it is family size so it does a big amount in this to feed everyone, making life a lot easier, especially for working mums or having guests round to eat. I was given this russell hobbs digital slow cooker for my birthday. I understand it cost about £20 in an argos sale. I have never cook with a slow cooker before so I have no base to compare this model to other slow cookers. This model has 3 settings low, high and auto. The auto setting starts at high until the pot warms up and then drops to low. Some slow cooker recipes direct you to cook on medium setting which obviously is not an option on this model. I usually use the high setting because I don't prepare the food early enough to have it stewing for 10-12 hours, but if you get up early to go to work and have the energy and time to prep your veg it is great.
