Advantages: Easy to use, multi options for cooking, good for space storage, quick to heat upq

Disadvantages: I dont tend to use all the grill plates due to the size of them

I have been lucky enough to go on a couple of holidays this year and when I am away I do enjoy sampling all of the different dishes that are on offer. For some reason, when I am holiday things taste so much better as opposed to when I try and cook them myself. One of the things that I fell in love with whilst away this year was the Panini's that we had. I was looking forward to my lunch as much as anything else! We had them severed with all sorts, different meats, salads and chesses .I decided that once home I was going to have a go at making my own Panini's, try and re-create some of the holidays taste and flavours and so when home and after doing my research I invested in a Russell Hobbs Three in One Grill, even though it was three in one it was the Panini plates that I was interested in and here are my thoughts on the product.

The Russell Hobbs Grill and Griddle, model number RU-17888 cost me around the £40.00 mark and it can be found in places like Argos and Curry's as well as online at amazon. I have had a number of electrical appliances from Russell Hobbs before and always been quite pleased with them. I don't think that this was too much to pay and I also think that with this being a 3 in one product that it is not a bad price.

The Russell Hobbs grill came well packaged and upon opening I had a read through of the instruction booklet as well as completing the one year manufacturer's guarantee. The grill is easy to set up and start using. The design is very sleek, you need to place the chrome and black design on your work top and plug it in at the mains, there is about 70cm of electrical lead and the dimensions are 300 x 140 x 320 mm (WxHxD) it is big but when I store it away it will stand neatly on its side. As I mentioned, you can use it in three different ways, there is the Panini one, which is how the model came, by turning the feet you can then cook meat, such as steak and chicken on there and then the third option is to press a button that allows the grill to cook larger items (As you now have a larger surface area) such as vegetables.

I do not tend to use the last couple of options as I have my grill in my oven as well as a George Foreman grill, it is for making the Panini's and I have to say that I think it is really good at this. There is enough space to create 4 Panini's so perfect for when I was rustling up lunch for me and my other half. The plates were good and true to their word, they were non stick, the plates heated up quickly and I was able to make some delicious sandwiches.

With buying an appliance that had other features with it, I was a little intrigued to see what it did. I guess the grill is a little like a miniature version of a George Foreman, it allows the grease and fats to run into a separate drip tray. This is actually really convenient for me and as the plates seems to work so well I often chosen this over the Foreman appliance. The plates are really easy to clean, I was impressed that with a wipe down with some warm water they looked as good as new again.

I would be more than happy to recommend the product. Whilst it makes the Paninis really well and this is why I first brought the product, I have found that I use it just as much as a healthy eating grill. The grill does not take long to heat up and it is really efficient and effective.

4 out of 5 from me on this one

Thank you for reading
