Just recently I have been feeling a little on the hefty side. I have been working on getting better from Bulimia but as a result I know I've gained a few pounds and that my clothes feel rather tight of late!

I know I have to eat but I haven't been eating the right things as a rule at all as well as eating very late at night. I suffer with M.E which exhausts me plus have an underactive thyroid which makes me not only prone to gaining weight (and its hard to shift it!) but also tired so I tend to laze about all day feeling knackered and yep eating crap.

So I've bought in lots of healthy food this week and I am now following a healthy eating plan. Out are the takeaways and the booze, in is the tofu, cous cous and bottled water. I'm determined to eat better for the long term with the occasional treat thrown in for good behaviour opposed to eating healthy occasionally and living on treats if you see what I mean lol.

On the leading up to this lifestyle change I was on Amazon.co.uk (as usual lol) and looking for some kitchen scales. My old ones got broke in the move from my old flat to this one and to be honest I wasn't all that bothered about them anyway as they were a bit on the big and bulky side for my small kitchen and far too large for my needs. I spotted these diet scales on Amazon costing £6.43, new and including postage and packaging and bought them.

The Packaging:

These scales come in a small black box and on the front of it there is a picture of the scales on there and we are told what they are and who they are by and that they have a 15 year guarantee and weigh up to 5g in weight. On the back and on the top of the box some information is listed in foreign languages as well as in English and we are told that they weigh up 500g and 16 oz plus are ideal for dieters (once again lol) and that the scales come with a snap on lid to act as a container and contact details for the manufcturer are given. Inside the box there is a leaflet that gives instructions on how to use the scales and so on and which also doubles up as a guarantee and my scales arrived with the base of the scales laid within the bit you weigh things in and with the snap on lid (see through plastic) on it making this a really neat and small appliance to store in a cupboard.

The Scales:

Well these are not only really simple to use as they are small but they look great and work extremely well ta boot. All of is white apart from the flexible plastic part which you slot the weighing bit onto which is black plastic. The dial on the small square base is black and quite large and over that is see through plastic so its easy to read and we are also told on there that they are Salter. The weighing part is large, white plastic in a square deep shape and slots onto the base securely then you have a small back dial on the back of the base that you gently adjust when you have the weighing piece on there to 0g or 0z and that shows up on the dial in a bright red line.

They really are so simple to use and I love the size of these and think they are really well thought out. Weighing in grams on the upper circle of the dial and oz to the inner of that circle I love the fact that I can store these away when not in use but do tend to use them often when cooking from scratch for myself!

They rinse clean easily and feel really durable and strong for such a small item and I really am hugely impressed by these and trust them! They have turned out to be a great little buy for me!

With a 15 year guarantee what does anyone have to lose?
