Many years ago when I had the pleasure of working for a living I wore a watch. The face simply had a mark for each five minute interval with no second hand and no minutes marked. It kept reasonable time provided that I adjusted it once a day when it was rewound. Numerous friends tried to persuade me to buy a digital watch on the grounds that I would know the time more accurately, but I resisted because my watch was intended to be correct to the nearest five minutes, whereas a digital watch that isn't correct to the second is wrong.
