I needed a new kettle and decided on this model for many reasons. It is a cordless kettle (I find these much safer to use). It has a good minimum (0.4ltr) and maximum (1.6ltr) capacity. It has a filter near the spout, this stops those annoying bits getting into the cup when you use all the water. It means I am more confident at using it for a minimum amount of water than I would else be (good for saving a penny or two on the electric bill).
